| To my mind, to be Ukrainian means a lot.
To begin with, it means, being a child, to walk through sunny meadows where the whole world seems to be a big glamourous carpet woven from millions of fragrant flowers and green leaves, crawling lady-birds, jumping grasshoppers, floating butterflies and dragonflies, the endless light-blue sky and soothing music shower of bees.  To be Ukrainian means to keep in every cell of your body the memory of former generations, their sorrow and happiness, thirst and striving for better life.  It also means to love and respect your parents, welcome guests to your house, feed and warm a stranger, to be open, kind, patient and hard-working. To be Ukrainian means to be easily pleased and joyful, to sing folk songs, embroider towels, keep to traditions and find everlasting wisdom in peaceful work without being indifferent in the face of adversity. And there is no better place in the world than Ukraine where the magic carpet of your distant childhood is always ready to take off into the air of Tranquility.

| As a real Ukrainian I can write that we ARE the best and I will be right. However I want to notice that not all of us ARE like that : good, clever, interesting, patriotic. It is ABOUT us that we ARE lazy, too SHY, slipshod but presently not about that . We are Ukrainians, we are the unique people and we try to understand and help each other!!! UkrainE-IS the most beautiful state!  Kyiv is THE most beautiful the capital and city!
And we are happy to live here!

| What does it mean to be UKRAINIAN? Ukraine is a sovereign state. Ukraine got independence in 1991 without bloodshed.  Ukraine is located in the centre of Europe.
The population of Ukraine is:Ukrainians, Russians, Byelorussians, Moldovians.
Ukraine has an ancient history, original culture and arts.
There are many famous writers and poets: L. Ukrainka,T. Shevchenko,I. Franko, M. Vouvchok, I. Kotlyarevsky,
P. Myrny, M. Rylsky in Ukraine.
There are many famous sportmen: brothers Klychko, J. Klochkova, V. Borzov, 0.Blohin, A. Shevchenko.
There are many scientists: Y. Paton, V.Vernadsky, S. Korolov, M. Hrushevsky.
Friendly, kind and polite people live in Ukraine. They are very hard-working and patriotic.
I love my Ukraine.I am proud of my country.I live in the most beautiful country. I hope Ukraine will be the best.

Ukrainians are friendly, freedom-loving, happy, hard-working, independent, patriotic, clever, kind, honest, and that's not all about Ukrainians! Ukrainians are also persistent as a cockroach , because they were destroyed by Chernobyl, gene-modificants, hunger, natural disasters. I think Ukrainians are good friends because they can help you if you have any problems. I was born in Ukraine, Kyiv.
We have very good schools, gymnasiums, churches, cities, villages and people. I LOVE MY COUNTRY very much!!!

They are very hardworking, patriotic and freedom-loving.
Ukrainians respect their language and national traditions, they like to celebrate different holidays: the New Year, Christmas, Easter,
Independence Day and others.  People of the country love the Ukrainian songs, dances, poetry and
national clothes. Ukrainian women- are very beautiful and Ukrainian men are clever and honest.

| I think, all Ukrainians are patriotic and love Ukraine. But Ukrainians don't have to just talk about love.
They work and do all for Ukraine. And they are honest, hard-working, kind, polite, clever.
They mustn't do bad affairs and attitude to Ukraine has to be very good and valid, because Ukraine is their native Motherland.
