| St. Sophia Cathedral
Kyiv`s history spans 15 centuries.You can visit a famous church St. Sophia Cathedral. It was founded by Yaroslav the Wise, the Grand Prince of Kyiv.The pictorial decor of the eleventh century is very beautiful.
There are two forms of monumental art -mosaics and frescoes. Mosaics decorate the main parts of the cathedral .The figure of the Virgin Orans is on the central altar.
