Kyiv is in the centre of the Ukraine.It is the capital of Ukraine.It is one of the most beautiful cities of Europe.The population is about 3 000 000 people.
A famous city
Kyiv is a big and old sity on the river Dnieper.There are many museums , churches, factories, cinemas, libraries.
There is Kyivo-Pecherskaya Lavra, St. Sophia`s Cathedral, St. Andrew`s Church, St. Volodymyr`s Cathedral, Golden Gate, Vydubytsky Monastery. There are many institutes and universites. There is a famous university named after T. G. Shevchenko.There famous T. G. Shevchenko Opera and Ballet House, Franko Drama Theatre, Lesya Ukrainka Drama Theatre. Kreshchatyk is the central street of the capital.
It is one of the finest streets of the city.
Tourism and Industry
There are many fine museums in Kyiv : the Ukrainian Fine Arts Museum, the Taras Shevchenko House-Museum of Russian Art, the Museum of Western Art.
There are many monuments in Kyiv: the monument to Prince Volodymyr, the monument to Bohdan Khmelnytsky, the monument to Taras Shevchenko , the monument to Lesya Ukrainka.
There is an airpot, railway stations and river`s port. The main industries in Kyiv are mechanikal engineering, food industry, chemical industry, light industry, printing industry.
