The English Teaching Resource Center (ETRC) at the English Department of the National University Kyiv-Mohyla Academy is a multi-purpose pedagogical center that functions as a library and classroom.
It maintains and distributes an extensive collection of textbooks, reference materials and cassettes, and also offers weekly English teaching methodology seminars.
Membership Requirements
The English Teaching Resource Center is open to teachers of English and American Studies. Membership is free, but in order to borrow materials, you must be a registered member. To register as a member, bring your passport, recent photo, and an official request from your institution to use the English Teaching Resource Center facilities.
Library Rules
Members may borrow up to nine items at a time. Kyiv residents may check out library materials for 2 weeks and Kyiv oblast residents - for up to 4 weeks. Persons who do not have permanent residence in Kyiv or Kyiv oblast may borrow ETRC materials for up to 6 weeks.
All borrowed materials may be renewed twice. To renew, contact the circulation desk. If books or materials are turned in late, a fine of 25 kopeks per day will be charged. Sets of Textbooks
In addition to the circulating books and materials, the ETRC has sets of classroom texts available to teachers.
Also, English teaching books and publications produced by the Office of English Language Programs of the U.S. Department of State are available for purchase at the Public Affairs Section.
Teacher Training Workshops
